Crustacean, Beverly Hills, CA

Walk in and look down at your feet through the clear floor and watch the fish for awhile. As you walk to your table, enjoy this and a decor that will keep your eyes wandering for awhile.

Crustacean has a high quality, great tasting Asian menu with a European fusion. Most items are in the mid teen to low twenty dollar an entree range, but “secret kitchen” meals are in the low thirty dollar an entree range.

Crustacean is a family owned restaurant and one of this family’s claim to fame are the meals cooked in the “secret kitchen” They will train staff to cook the regular menu in the regular kitchen, but only family is allowed past the curtain divider to cook in the secret kitchen.

I have had meals from both kitchens and acually like both equally. For this reason, I order items similar to the “secret kitchen” items off of the regular menu and enjoy them just as much. However, when I have enjoyed a “secret kitchen” meal, I did enjoy it a little more knowing how much passion the chefs had toward this meal.

If you get the jumbo shrimp, your server will peel your shrimp for you at the table. This is just one of the qualities that, in my opinion, make this wait staff one of the friendliest, professional, and fun in the city.

Great food, great service, great atmosphere…Crustacean has it all.

Good description of the restaurant itself, but could use a little more about the food.

All the food here has been seasoned with subtle, but flavorful sauces. You are not bombared by ingredients trying to take over each other while at the same time it tastes good. Ingredients are quality. The sea bass melts in your mouth.
